Marissa Galan, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive pain management at Pain Care, LLC, which has five locations in Stockbridge, Griffin, Newnan, McDonough, Johns Creek, and Fayetteville, Georgia. She has been with the practice since 2011 where she previously worked as a registered nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She is proud to utilize the cutting-edge treatments Pain Care, LLC, offers patients.

Marissa began her professional education at the Mary Inez Grindle School of Nursing at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Following graduation, Marissa remained at Brenau University and obtained her Master of Science in nursing. 

During her time on campus, Marissa was involved in various organizations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing, the National Student Nurses Association, and the Georgia Association of Student Nurses.

Since entering private practice, Marissa has served in various positions, including medical assistant, staff nurse, nurse practitioner, and director of nursing. 

Marissa proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, the American Society for Pain Management Nursing, and the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Marissa speaks English and Spanish fluently, allowing her to serve the practice’s diverse patient base. She enjoys getting to know the individuals in her care and develops custom treatment plans that ease chronic pain and improve the quality of life.

Patients often seek care from Marissa for conditions such as back pain, neck pain, joint pain, neuropathy, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). As an experienced nurse practitioner, Marissa finds that spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, and joint injections can deliver lasting pain relief without surgery or medication.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
